About Amerifusion
CPA-managed DCAA-ready bookkeeping built for government contractors who refuse to leave compliance to chance.
Built for the Contractors Everyone Else Overlooks
Most bookkeeping firms treat government contractors the same as every other client: general-purpose accounting retrofitted for federal compliance. The result? Contractors scrambling before DCAA audits, overpaying on indirect rates, and operating without real visibility into contract profitability.
Amerifusion was founded to close that gap.
Our founder, Joseph Kamara, spent over 15 years inside Big 4 audit at KPMG, Fortune 500 IT audit management, and third-party risk management. He saw firsthand how financial systems succeed or fail under regulatory pressure. When he launched Amerifusion in 2024, the mission was clear: bring that same caliber of compliance rigor and financial discipline to small and mid-size government contractors, the companies that need it most but can least afford a full-time compliance team.
As a government contractor himself, Joseph understood the challenges from the inside. Not as a consultant observing from the outside, but as a business owner working through FAR requirements, indirect rate structures, and DCAA audit preparation firsthand.
We are not a general-purpose bookkeeping firm that happens to serve GovCon clients. We are a DCAA-specialized, CPA-managed operation built from Day 1 around the Federal Acquisition Regulation. That is the difference.
What Drives Us
To deliver Big 4-caliber financial compliance to government contractors of every size, so that audit readiness is a given, not a gamble.
Precision
Federal compliance is exact or it is wrong. Every rate we calculate, every report we deliver, every system we implement stands up to scrutiny.
Accessibility
Big 4 expertise should not require a Big 4 budget. We bring the same methodological rigor to a 5-person contractor as a 500-person firm.
Integrity
CPA-supervised means every number we produce stands up to audit. We do not cut corners, and we do not let our clients cut them either.
Impact
We measure success by outcomes: audits passed, rates optimized, contracts won. If our work does not move the needle, we have not done our job.
Meet Our Founder
Joseph Kamara
Founder & Principal
Joseph Kamara is a CPA with 15+ years of experience spanning Big 4 financial audit at KPMG, IT audit management at Fortune 500 companies including Stryker, and third-party risk management at BDO, where he led SOC 1, SOC 2, HITRUST, and HIPAA engagements.
His dual expertise in financial compliance and information security gives Amerifusion clients a rare advantage: bookkeeping that is not only DCAA-ready but also built on enterprise-grade controls and risk management frameworks.
Joseph holds CPA, CISSP, CISA, and ACCA certifications, along with an MBA in Accounting. That credential combination bridges the gap between financial rigor and operational security.
Building Opportunity Where It Matters Most
Amerifusion dedicates 10% of gross revenue to educational and entrepreneurial initiatives through the Amerifusion Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
Education in Sierra Leone
In Sierra Leone, less than half the adult population can read. Twenty-five percent of primary-age children are not enrolled in school. Public library infrastructure is virtually nonexistent across the country.
The Amerifusion Foundation is building a library and boarding school with an entrepreneurship curriculum in Sierra Leone, giving students the tools and space to learn, build, and compete.
Minority Entrepreneurship in the U.S.
At current growth rates, Black business ownership will not reach population parity for 256 years. Only 1.5% of the federal government's $637 billion contracting budget reaches small Black-owned businesses.
The Foundation supports entrepreneurship education and awareness programs within minority communities across the United States, because access to knowledge is the first step to access to capital.
Partner With Us
We believe business success and community impact strengthen each other.
If your organization shares our commitment to expanding access to education and entrepreneurship, we welcome the conversation. Whether through co-investment in Foundation initiatives, joint programming, or working together on shared goals, there is room at this table.
